A Gorgeous Excitement Returns to the Steinfeld Gallery

TWENTY-FOUR ARTISTS – ONE ELECTRIFYING NIGHT

A Gorgeous Excitement is back. Now in its second year, the landmark group exhibition curated by regional arts advocate Paul Gold opens Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the historic Steinfeld Gallery, the anchor event of Tucson’s 1st Saturday ARTwalk and the first major show of the fall season.

“This exhibition is an annual love letter to Tucson’s artists, showcasing our deep stable of remarkable talent; an intrinsically Tucson event to enjoy, year after year,” says Gold.

Hosted in the Steinfeld Warehouse Community Arts Center, A Gorgeous Excitement 2026 features work by 24 of Southern Arizona’s most accomplished visual artists. “This 1907 building carries a history that few spaces in the city can match,” says Chris Leighton, Director of Steinfeld Gallery. “A Gorgeous Excitement is exactly the kind of show this space was built for, filling one of downtown Tucson’s most distinctive venues with contemporary art that is as eclectic as the city itself.”

The exhibition runs through mid-November, with Saturday gallery hours and artist talks each week. A closing reception on November 7 is followed by a final gallery day and artist talk on November 14. The opening reception is free and open to the public, with food, music, and the 1st Saturday ARTwalk drawing a broad cross-section of Tucson into the building.
