Tucson artist and former Rancho Linda Vista resident Rick DeMont painted “Around the Bend” in 2018. Rick writes, “This piece was done in the fall, deep in an old growth redwood forest in Northern California. The sun doesn’t make it to the bottom often, but there it was, glowing around the bend. I had to carry the painting out like a pizza because it was taking so long to dry. I think my earliest memory is the smell of a redwood forest.”
